there's something missing - what would make it better?
I have not tried this but I would wonder if some cream or sour cream might work, either as a garnish or stirred in.
i like to add much more roasted red pepper to a soup like that, but i'm a big pepper and tomato addict so ymmv. another thing i'd consider is doing a mix of paprikas -- sweet, hot, and smoked, to create a depth of pepper flavors. ed is right that sour cream seems like a good garnish for this -- i'd also consider a dollop of nice chevre instead of sour cream?
oh and if you are seriously considering adding meat -- seafood is fantastic here!
maybe some heat! a chile pepper either roasted or raw. or what about subbing in cumin (or fennel?) for the paprika?
I would put in a chipotle, myself.
