de-seeding a watermelon

Well, first off is "Why would you want to deseed a watermelon, that's half the fun."

If you are using it in a recipe for a sorbet or such you could always pass it through a sieve thus leaving behind the little guys....in fact this may be the best and least volatile method as trying to cut away pieces will only result in butchery, unless you are Very Very Patient and have Very little to do that day. St Augustine did say "The reward of patience is patience" so choose your destiny.

There really isn't a good way to do it. If you need seed free watermelon that retains its integrity, it is best to buy one of the seedless varieties. Otherwise, follow joshvela's advice above.

yeah it's for sorbet.. which i've never made before, but i found some recipe on the intertubes and it said "cut a watermelon in half. de-seed it." like this was an obvious skill we all have!
